about Dale Barnett
Hi! I'm Dale Barnett.
I
got my first camera at age 16, and I couldn't stop taking pictures of
everything I saw. In addition to that first camera, I soon bought a
smaller 35 mm that I could pack with me on trips, clicking everything
in sight. This early interest led naturally to my profession in fine
art photography.
As a photographer, the natural beauty
of the western United States has been my passion for more than 30 years.
I am always looking for scenes that capture the splendor and wonder
of our land. I am always amazed at the glory and beauty of America!
I hope it awes and intrigues you, too!
That old 35 mm has long since been
replaced by a medium format camera with a negative that is three times
the size of the old 35 mm. I also use a large format camera with an
even bigger 4”x 5” negative. The larger negatives result in enlargements
and reproductions of better quality.
I am committed to
the preservation of images. Saving a bit of history on film is very
important for future generations. The preservation of the picture itself
is also important, so only archival materials are used in each print,
which allows the pictures I take to last for generations.
I currently live
in Florence, Oregon, a small town right on the Pacific Ocean, but I
travel throughout the country for art shows.
All the pictures
displayed on this site are for sale. Please take a look around, and
if you see something you like, we'll be more than happy to provide it
for you!
